Glenn L. Widom
Managing Partner
Glenn L. Widom holds the highest AV rating by Martindale® and has been practicing law for over 30 years. Glenn’s primary areas of practice are general and complex litigation of business disputes involving real estate, business transactions, contracts, trusts, corporate control, commercial fraud, commercial collections and insurance coverage. Glenn has represented individuals, public companies, and all types of businesses in between that require aggressive and effective advocacy to resolve their business disputes. The firm has also represented Trustees and Receivers of insolvent and/or failed businesses, conducted investigations and brought claims arising from related fraudulent conduct.
Glenn has tried cases in both federal and state courts to judges and juries, prosecuted appeals in Florida’s District Courts of Appeal and in the U.S. Eleventh Circuit, mediated disputes, and arbitrated before the American Arbitration Association. He is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts, the U.S. District Courts in the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of the United States.
Prior to opening the firm in 2009, Glenn was a Partner at Silver Garvett & Henkel, P.A. (2004-2009), and practiced in the Miami Office of Zuckerman Spaeder LLP (2002-2004) and Hanzman & Criden, P.A. (1994-2002).
Glenn is a proud Florida Gator, having earned a business degree from the University of Florida in 1984. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate cum laude in 1994. Prior to law school, Glenn was a banker, serving as Vice President at Citizens Federal Savings & Loan (1986-90), supervising its mortgage operations in five states; and with Commonwealth Savings & Loan (1985-1986).
Glenn is a member of various professional and charitable organizations. He Co-Founded and is Co-Chairman of the annual Keymorada Invitational Fishing Tournament (keymoradafishing.com) which event has raised nearly $10 million since 2005 to benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and the Crohn’s & Colitis Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. In 2013, Glenn became an Emeritus Member of CCF’s Board of Trustees, having served on CCF’s Board, its Executive Board and as Treasurer since 2007. In 2009, Glenn joined the Board of Directors for the Steven E. Chaykin Fellowship Trust, which funded an endowed fellowship at the Center for Ethics and Public Service at the University of Miami School of Law.
Glenn is married with adult children and is an avid fly-fisherman.
